  • Upcoming Webinar: Supporting Tribal Child Welfare Through a Better Understanding of the Opportunities Under Fostering Connections

    • Thursday, August 12 @ 3-4:30 p.m. EST.  The Fostering Connections Resource Center and the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) invite you to join us for a free webinar that addresses ways that tribal child welfare can be supported through implementation of the tribal provisions of the Fostering Connections Act (FCA). David Simmons, Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy for NICWA, and Arlene Templer, Department of Human Resources, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes in Montana, will provide an overview of tribes and child welfare and the impact of Fostering Connections on American Indian/Alaskan Native children.   • Tribal Comments Needed on SACWIS and AFCARS Regulations Revisions

    • The Children's Bureau has just published requests for comments on possible regulation modifications that affect the SACWIS and AFCARS data reporting systems.  Both requests are available in the document library. Comments are due by October 21, 2010.
